What's New With NerdyKeppie? Proud to the Bone launches Monday!

Hello, friends and comrades!
(I know, some of you are getting this multiple times, and those who are, we love you.)
As the nation chugs along through Tuesday, day four, we're proud to announce that we're getting ready to launch our next campaign. After taking time to assess what went right, and what went not-so-right, with our last 3 campaigns, we've found a new pin company, and solemnly promise not to move across the country mid-fulfillment. Oops.
Anyway, on Monday, November 9th at 3:00 PST, we'll be launching Proud to the Bone, A Valid Taxonomy.
One of the things we learned from our past Kickstarters is that no one's identity should be a stretch goal, which is why all fifteen flags we'll be offering for this Kickstarter will be available as soon as pin molds unlock. You spoke, and we heard you. <3
Don't want to remember the date, but definitely want to know when we launch? Kickstarter has you covered. Just click through, and follow the project. (Even if this project isn't necessarily your jam, following this project helps our visibility, so we appreciate you!)
I'm super excited to note that the setup for this project means that the More Color, More Pride and Gilbert Baker flags fit in perfectly on each pin's layout.
On funding, we'll unlock the Skull. Check out the proof sheet!
See you Monday!
Solidarity,
Spider & Steve
Symbols of Faith & Pride!
– Fri, Apr 05, 2019 at 01:35:17 PM
Always moving forward - we're so excited to announce our next project is now live!
Symbols of Faith & Pride are a set of US-manufactured faith symbol pins, available in Pride flag colors. We'll begin with Rainbow/Gay pride pins featuring the Christian Cross, Jewish Star of David, Muslim Crescent & Star & Pagan Pentacle. Stretch goals will unlock Pride options for other flags as well as unlocking the Universalist Unitarian Chalice, Buddhist Lotus, Mjolnir, an Atheist pin, and Hindu Aum.
Once a flag option has been unlocked, it will be available in all unlocked pins. You may choose as many different flags or pins as there are different pins in your order!
Why this project? Why now?
We’d been discussing the possibility of Symbols of Faith & Pride for several months – since about halfway through the Solidarity Fist Pin Kickstarter – but recent events have pushed this to the forefront of our minds. Mandy grew up in a United Methodist Church in rural Pennsylvania and left at age eighteen, while Steve's parents were members of a UMC Church until very recently, their father very active in Reconciliation, so the ruling – and the defiant response of many churches – have been alternately crushing and uplifting. While we are both very happy in our home as members of our Reform Synagogue, we understand intimately the pain and the resistance of our friends who are still members of the UMC, and other friends and family who have found varying degrees of love and rejection in their own faith homes. With that in mind, we are launching our next Kickstarter to fund a set of pins which speaks to our hopes as we move forward. Come join us, and spread the word! Solidarity, Mandy & Steve.

Shipping Update!
As of today, I've printed labels for and packed approximately 2/3 of the orders!
Yet another bin full of padded envelopes...
At this point, we've got everyone except the folx who are getting patches -- since our machines have been in for servicing for an unprecedented entire month, we're waiting to get them back so we can run off the pronoun sheets and ship the last third.

Shipment Started & What's Next?
– Fri, Mar 15, 2019 at 09:36:08 PM
Shipments have started!
Today we sent out the first two batches of pin shipments, and by the end of tomorrow, just over 140 backers -- close to 50% -- will have packages in the mail with your pins winging their way to you.
A small avalanche of purple envelopes in a fabric carrying basket with rope handles.
Those of you with patches included will be in the second shipment -- our machines have been in servicing for the last month, which is about three weeks longer than we expected them to be, so we're waiting for our babies to come home so we can stitch pronoun patch sheets.
What's Next?
With everything we've learned from our very first Kickstarter (this one), we successfully completed our second, the Console Pride 8-bit Heart collection.
So many adorable little pixel hearts! <3
If you missed that Kickstarter, you can still get in on the action with the Pre-Order store, including exclusive discounts on the entire 8-Bit Pride line -- hats, shirts, and accessories. Those discounts will disappear when the Pre-Order Store does -- we'll be locking orders at the end of March -- so don't miss 'em!
And On Into The Future!
We've been talking with friends from different faith communities about combining our faith and our pride for our next pin collection for quite some time, but with recent events in the United Methodist Church (where Mandy grew up and where Steve's parents worked for Reconciliation), that project is getting pushed to the front of the line. Watch this space for updates; that project will launch very soon indeed!
